Where It All Began

We created EverWild, an all-weather, year-round, nature play and outdoor learning program in Monmouth County, NJ, to fill a simple need: a space where children could explore boldly and freely in nature, and where parents could feel supported, seen, and understood.

Every part of EverWild is designed to inspire exploration, imagination, and connection—so families can grow together, one outdoor adventure at a time. Whether your child is collecting leaves, climbing logs, or simply soaking up the magic of the forest, they’re learning through play in the most natural way possible.

Our Philosophy

At EverWild, we believe that the best kind of learning happens when children are free to follow their curiosity. Our outdoor classes are inspired by Forest School principles, Reggio Emilia learning, and The Curiosity Approach, celebrating child-led, sensory-rich exploration in every season.

There are no walls here, and almost no rules—except one: be kind. Because when children feel safe to explore, imagine, and get messy, they also grow in confidence, independence, and joy.

Through our nature-based early childhood program, kids learn not just about the world—but about themselves.

A Mama Who Gets It

Hi, I’m Chelsey. I’m just a mama who loves sourdough, a hot cup of tea on a cool night, walking barefoot, and constantly learning—and who thinks a cozy blanket and fresh air are the ultimate reset. I’m wildly aware that some days are bursting with wonder, and some days—you’re leaning hard on your village.

With years of background in occupational therapy, specializing in early childhood and sensory integration, I’ve seen just how powerful hands-on, nature-based learning can be. As a mom, I’ve also lived the everyday magic of childhood: messy, joyful, surprising, and full of discovery.

EverWild was born from my love of nature, curiosity, and slow, intentional childhood. It’s a space where children can be exactly who they are—energetic explorers, curious adventurers, bold scientists, and creative artists—and where parents can feel seen, supported, and connected.
